Meet David D. Robertson

Clinical Social Work/Associate Therapist, MA, MSSW, LMSW (He/Him/His)

Welcome to a transformative journey of self-discovery and empowerment with me. I specialize in offering hope and healing to individuals who have experienced childhood trauma, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, and those from faith-based and marginalized communities.

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Social Work at the University of Maryland. My foundational clinical training was completed at Columbia University's School of Social Work, where I honed my skills in grief and trauma evidence-based interventions.

I specialize in guiding individuals through the complexities of trauma, grief, and marginalized identities. My expertise lies in cultivating hope, resilience, and empowering individuals to navigate their unique challenges with courage and strength.

In my practice, I integrate a decolonized perspective blended with therapeutic modalities, including Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Each session is tailored to instill hope, foster growth, and promote holistic well-being.

I am dedicated to creating a brave and hopeful space for clients to explore their inner strengths, envision positive changes, and embark on a journey of self-discovery with optimism and confidence.

I prioritize open and transparent communication with clients, encouraging them to share their hopes, fears, and aspirations. Through email and text support, I aim to extend a sense of hope and connection beyond the therapy room.
